Paul and Callie are the newest couple in Nashville

What a PARTY!!!! Belle Meade Plantation hasn’t been rocked out like this in……well, ever! Once we hit the ground, we never stopped.

The bride and groom had their first glance at each other before the wedding. We had them in a private little area and got some great shots of the two of them as they spent their last moments before they start their new chapter.

The ceremony was very sweet. They vowed to dedicate the rest of their lives to each other at sunset under these huge beautiful oak trees in a romantic garden.

And now time for the party! The Carriage House got rocked until they kicked us out! Entice showed us how music is supposed to be played. They got the whole place on their feet and kept us moving!

What an awesome night!

Sam and Dana tied the knot!

What a perfect day! The weather couldn’t have been any better for this sweet couple. They said their vows in front of Sam’s aunt’s house in Gallatin, Tennessee. The flowers were beautiful and complimented the fall colors just right.

Afterwards, they partied at St. John Vianny in Gallatin. Sam and Dana showed up in a vintage car. The reception hall was completely decked out with candles, flowers, DJ and anything you could ever want to eat. They had it all. Chicken tenders, BBQ, shrimp, subs, fruit, cheesecake….you name it and they had it. Everything was displayed flawlessly!

Kevin and Kelly’s Irish Wedding!

What a great couple and fabulous wedding. Kevin and Kelly got married on the Michael W. Smith’s farm in Franklin. It is such a great place to celebrate a new beginning.

The bride and her attendants were delivered in a horse drawn carriage as a bagpiper played.  The ladies were then escorted across a bridge and onto a tiny island in the middle of the pond. The ceremony was short and sweet!

After the ceremony, the reception was held in the barn. Kevin, a master baker, made the cakes and they were spectacular (we took home seconds!!!)

Anthony & Amber

For those of you that read my blog, you know I LOVE shooting weddings. I now have an addition to that statement………I LOVE shooting weddings in sunny California!!!!! I have known Amber for several years and she is about as close to being family as you can be. We were so honored when she called us about being a part of her very special day. We flew out to LA earlier this month for their BEAUTIFUL wedding on August 6th. I had never met Anthony, but Amber had told me what a fantastic person he is and he certainly is that and more! Their wedding was at Amber’s parents incredibly beautiful home in Thousands Oaks and the weather that day was……..PERFECT!

It was a very intimate ceremony with family and close friends on this hillside at her parents home that made the setting for the ceremony so beautiful. By the way, did I mention BEAUTIFUL weather??

After the ceremony, the real FUN began…….the reception and dinner!!!! The dinner was poolside and the food was AMAZING! Yes, we ate dinner. See if you work really hard, for some reason the wedding party always wants to feed you!

I’ll say it again, what a BEAUTIFUL wedding! Congratulations to you guys and thanks again for allowing us to be a part of your wonderful day. Also, thanks again to Amber’s parents Rob and Joyce for your fabulous hospitality!….May God bless your wonderful marriage together.

You Can Shoot Anywhere!

People ask me all the time where I find places to shoot. I simply tell them, you can just about shoot anywhere! I recently had to do some senior pics for a beautiful girl and she had a couple of things in mind, but really was not locked into a specific location. On my way to their home I spotted a pretty cool looking road that was canopied with trees. I knew that with the right angle and right lighting it could be a cool spot. Here’s what we got!!

Before we shot on the road with the trees, they took me to a neat little spot with a small creek and I think we got some cool images there as well.

Hannah is a swimmer for Gallatin High School and wanted some type of shot that included her swim cap and goggles. So the next day we scheduled to shoot at my pool and see what we could get. I think she thought I had lost my mind when I told her we needed waterproof make-up!!! I didn’t want it to look like a normal image of just her swimming. I wanted BRIGHT lipstick and a BRIGHT cap and she made it happen!!!!!!!! Sounded a bit bizarre but I think we got a pretty cool shot. I knew that if we framed it pretty tight and caught her right as she came up out of the water, we might have a keeper. Here’s what we got!!!!

Hannah was fantastic and we had a great time shooting together. So the next time you’re looking for that perfect spot to shoot, try shooting right where you are and maybe adjust your angle and look for the best possible direction of light. Who knows, you might surprise yourself. I surprise myself all the time!!!!!!!

2011 City of Hope Celebrity Softball

This year’s game raised more than $100,000 for the City of Hope with more than 5,000 attendees. Over the years, the Celebrity Softball Challenge has raised over $2 million dollars benefiting City of Hope’s life-saving mission – finding cures and better treatments for cancer and a host of other devastating diseases.

It was a great day and a FUN event to shoot. The day started VERY early……like 6:00!! All of the celebs started rolling in and the fun began. Needless to say, the kids went crazy when American Idol finalist Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina showed up.

This years game had a great line up of stars, from Titans Kerry Collins to country music superstar Dierks Bentley. There were a lot of pranks being pulled on each other on the field, but all in fun.

It’s obvious that it was a SUPER FUN day for a GREAT cause. It is always good to see people come out and give their time and talent for an awesome organization.  City of Hope did an outstanding job putting on this fantastic event. You don’t want to miss next years game!!!!!!
